The Los Angeles Police Department Racing Team has been racing black and white police drag cars since 1985. Our team has raced all over the world. We are proud to say we have raced in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, |
Alaska and Hawaii. Our team is the longest running police racecar program in existence. We will enter our 20TH year of competition in 2005.
Our current racecar is a 2001 AA/Pro Mod Z/28 Camaro. Our Camaro sports a blown and injected Keith Black 575 cu. in DRC Oldsmobile. We compete at Super Chevy Shows and are involved in several exhibition programs throughout the year. Our main goal is to stay involved with the youth in our community and to participate in every fundraiser we possibly can.
Since the beginning of our program in 1985 with our Super Gas car, we have continued to evolve to where we are today. Each and every racecar we have run has had ARIAS Pistons in it. Our engine builder the talent Jim Shewbert swears by the quality and toughness of the blower pistons manufactured by ARIAS. We are proud to continue our involvement with the people at ARIAS and swear by their products.
